Turing Pharmaceuticals in the USA recently acquired the rights to 'Daraprim', an important drug for people with toxoplasmosis. MD Martin Skreli, erstwhile hedge fund trader, then increased the price from £13.50 to $750 !
Protests from around the World.
Although now out of Patent, apparently generic producers will find it hard to replicate Daraprim with appropriate approvals. A terrible situation for Patients worldwide.
