Are most T---Visa users trolls? Or is that community just retarded or bored?

The amount of, 'do you have a work permit for that?' Or, 'you are not a genuine tourist.'
Some of these people post 200 times a day. And just whine about everything.
I have lived in dozens of countries and I have never encountered anybody who gives a f*ck what someone's visa situation is.
Why is Thailand different?

Below is just one comment of many, more here reddit.com

The forum is mostly old guys, many of them in bad relationships with Thai girls or have been scammed by them in the past, that makes them very bitter and angry towards Thailand. As for the visa stuff, as they've aged and Thailand has developed they get scammed more and date uglier girls than in the past when Thailand was poor. They see young farang as competition and absolutely hate seeing them around. Most of them are on the easiest types of visa, the sexpat visa or the waterbuffalo visa, so their complaints are really complete bullshit. All of them will go on and on about how the 'crimes' of working online on tourist visa or whatever, meanwhile most of them are here for hookers half their age, which is also a crime, and in the wider scheme of things has a horrible affect on Thailand's reputation in the world.

Spot on Thaiga! I've never really understood why foreigners come here and marry bar girls and maids.  Then they complain about the constant requests for money, etc....always some problem that can be resolved with a healthy injection of your money.

I joke a lot about my wife (Chinese and educated)....but her family has NEVER asked me for money....In fact they want to give us money.  Hows that?  I don't need it.  I knew my wife for four years before I decided to marry.....ironically, I learned more about her AFTER we were married.  Still, I don't understand what this attraction is to bar girls.  Would you marry one in your own country?  I wouldn't.

suck it and see

Who actually marries these bar girls, i've never met a farang in thailand in all the time i've been here that says he has.
Although i do know a few that have, as the wife is normaly the honest one who tells the truth. As she see's no harm in it, for some there isn't as they are quite happy with their life. If the situation works for you it might be better than your life back home

They say, they either met on the internet, fakebook or a dating agency. My wife asked a question once to a couple that we met. Where did you two meet, They both answered at the same time, he said, on the internet, she said, work bar. There you go.

Here's a part post from the famous stickmanweekly.com.

The damage to a guy's reputation when it is known that he has married a bargirl is huge and that's why most guys won't admit where they met their wife / girlfriend and why in expat circles you never ask this question!  How many guys have the backbone to come out and admit that their wife used to be a hooker?  It could mean immediate reputation destruction - and if you're working in Thailand in any job outside of the red light industry, any respect your colleagues had for you will be hard to keep.

But what I believe is the biggest risk of all is seldom mentioned.  I can't imagine anything as truly damaging to your ego, to your psyche, to your emotional well-being and to your very sense of being a man, as your wife leaving you to become, or more succinctly to return to her old profession, to be a hooker again.  That is the risk that every Western man takes on when he marries a woman who once sold her body - and it is my observation that such marriages generally don't work out - and she returns to what she knows, being a hooker.

But like I say, some couples manage to make it work – and there seems to be a few commonalities in those relationships which are genuinely successful.

If you manage to get some insight into the circles of farangs with Thai wives contacted to them by other farangs' Thai wives, you might say, things can be worse even. While bar girls might have gained some experience with money, another relationship to money, as they had to work for it one way or another, those farangs contacted for the wife's cousin etc. might experience the life of a walking ATM even harder. They will not only be expected by their wives' direct family to share the wallet, whole villages keep hanging on them, expecting more "contacts". Pity, if they do! Then the "spending competition for social status" of the wives will start, drawing even more "interested in matches with ATMs".

Attitudes of those will come into the open, if you and your wife will attend a "relaxed" social meeting and exchange afterwards what you have heard. It's not so much the men complaining about their wives, but the wives' disrespectful talk of their hubbies will make you loose interest in meeting any from those circles again. The men know how to play their role by their Western socialization, but the talk of the Isaan wives about their men can be a shock. And they were not prostitutes, just a flock of village girls now married to an ATM, one who might have a wider horizon, i. e.  education, himself, but turned out to be helpless in his own social circles back home, needed and was given "a hand for a marriage to a Thai village girl". There is nothing left for them, but playing along to the tune of the wife and the "helpful match-maker".

I reduced my social contacts to other farangs a lot, after I became aware of their wives' games. Couldn't expose my visiting friends to step into their traps.

About marrying a bar girl one should not forget that many successful women also in Western countries financed their way to success, the studies etc. with the side job prostitution. That didn't make them less good doctors, lawyers or partners in a marriage, mothers etc. It was just a job to get money for their education. In Thailand things are probably not so much different.

I have noticed the competition between wives.  It puts me in mind of the Janis Joplin song:-

Couldn't have said it better, Johnnie. When you think about it, there really isn't that much difference between a so called "good girl" and a prostitute.  In the end, you end up paying anyway....

Yep, they talk sht and I'm not sure why.  Why bite the hand that feeds you?

When you think about it, there really isn't that much difference between a so called "good girl" and a prostitute.

There is not a lot of difference between a prostitute and a good girl that flirts. The only difference is Deceit. The good girl is deceiving herself. What are her intentions when she goes to her boyfriend’s house for the weekend, she goes dressed like someone who is about to go to heaven and butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.

But she carries a big hand bag and inside the bag are, miniskirts and sexy tops, transparent or see through pants, the type I would describe or call ‘come n get it’. She stays the whole weekend. But ...

Before leaving, she tells her boyfriend that she needs money she's skint. The guy must give her money because he feels that it will be wrong if he doesn’t give her something because she has kept him in happy company. So, he decides to give her any amount he thinks fit.
In some cases, if the money is not enough, she moves on to another guy.

So is she, good girl or a hooker

Total hooker.  They all are.  I've come to the conclusion that the amount of pussy you get in Thailand is directly proportional to the amount of MONEY you have in your pocket at any given time.

If you have no car but want some fun at the weekend you can always go along to the rental office.  A nice little hatchback? Maybe even a Ferrari if it is just after pay day.  Anyway you can tear around town all weekend and have fun.  On Monday morning you can return the car to the office, settle the bill and walk away.

On the other hand you could go along to the Toyota garage and buy the latest model.  There is an initial honeymoon period with free parts and labour.  But after that you start to get regular bills for service, new exhaust, tyres, windscreen wipers, road tax, insurance etc.  After a few years the paintwork is not looking so good, the upholstery is worn and there are lots of exciting new models in the showroom.  So you sell the old car and, at great expense, you go and invest in the latest model.

I humbly award myself the Koratfart Misogynist of the Month trophy.
