ANNOUNCEMENT ON TOURIST VISA APPLICATION

ROYAL THAI CONSULATE-GENERAL, FRANKFURT AM MAIN

As there has been a number of visa applicants having entered Thailand via tourist
visa and misused it to illegally seek employment during their stay and, upon its
expiry, sought to re-apply their tourist visas at the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal
Thai Consulate in neighboring countries, requests for visa renewal by such
applicants are subject to rejection as their applications are not based on tourism
motive, but to continue their illegal employment, which is unlawful.

This is in accordance with the Immigration Act, B.E. 2522 which stipulates that visa
applicants are required to clearly express their real purpose of visiting Thailand.

Should the case be found .that the applicant's real intention were concealed, the
application will be rejected.

Please be informed ,that the intention of applicants to repeatedly depart and re-enter
Thailand via tourist visa issued by the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai
Consulate in neighboring countries in recent years upon its expiry, is considered as
concealment of real Purpose of visiting Thailand. Thus their visas applicants will be
rejected.

Royal Thai Consulate-General, Frankfurt a.M.
7th September 2009
Signed
(Mr. Chailert Limsomboon)
Consul-General

With the rate of criminal action by farangs rising only very few blame the authorities for exercising tougher measures to maintain law and order among the immigrants. Let's just hope there isn't too much collateral damage.

MM i think you should possibly extend that to asians as well as Africans, and Indians.

Seems as if the Africans presently are the real problem in Thailand presently.

You had me really confused about what could have triggered your comment, Frank.  :-[

Maybe you should read Monkey's post like that: "only very few blame the authorities..."  ;D

Koratfart you had me confused with your post, :-\ no where have mentioned the authorities, my observation is based on what i hear and see.

And presently i am hearing a lot about the nigerian illegal immigrants, not only here in Thailand but elsewhere in Asia.

Trafficking, and running seem to be most popular with them.

Quite obvious to me, the Thai authorities are clamping down on the Germans, and who can blame them, other nationalities deserve deck chairs as well.

You must have misinterpreted, Goerge! For those brits, yanks, kangeroos etc jumping out of their way the Thai Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany even posted that notice in English, not expecting them to read German. ;D

But at least in Germany the Thai Consulate has to tell what they expect. If you have a look at the site of the Thai Consulate in Sidney, you find it a lot more problematic:

Quote
2. The Royal Thai Consulate-General reserves its rights not to inform the reason to those whose application is rejected.

3. The Royal Thai Consulate-General reserves the rights for not considering or processing visa application of those persons claiming to receive information from other agency or sources other than the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney.

Shows what they expect of the applicants: know-better etc.  ::)

How in the world did you jump yourself a visa under these circumstances, George?  ;)

It never ceases to suprise me that countries have consulates and embassies in Australia, its not as though they want those nasty sheep molesting convicted criminals in their country anyway, well, unless they are really desperate for the tourist dollar.

Thanks for pointing that out, Frank! Please complain to Mozilla.com about Firefox not having found the typo "Sidney"  as wrong spelled word since there is a Sidney in British Columbia but now complaining about "Koratfart", :Chongmek" and "singapore" as not contained in the dictionary,   ;)

Koratfart

Did you use the same spell check for all your post or only the early part, as you may well note that the second sydney which is in Australia was spelt correctly, if you used only mozilla.com you have a seriously orrupt system.

I am sure are german loving george may be able to inform you of the problem.thats if he is'nt speaking to himself again. ;D

Speaking for myself and I, we don't use a spell checker as we prefer the creativety of making up our own words.

Do you expect him to be able to check into his account at gotrusted.com to answer your question? I think they canceled that account already due to the abuse that was committed over it.  ;)

Ouch Frank, now the Firefox spell checker doesn't recognize these words: Franklyb, sydney, Koratfart, spelt, mozilla, orrupt, german, george, thats, is'nt. It doesn't show "are" as  spelled wrong, but it doesn't correct grammar. No relief in sight! ::)

Koratfart are we talking here about george or me or someone who has nothing to do with this post, as if me and george are one it must be either or both of us. :-\

Answering your question: Didn't another farang from Korat  express his dissatisfaction with other nationalities on a certain forum and keep instigating? BTW the word farang comes from "francais", a language spoken in parts of Europe and North America.
