Khantoke dinner and dance in the Northeast

Nakhon Ratchasima provincial authorities and the local Tourism Authority of Thailand office invite all to try local culinary and cultural treats at the Kin Khao Kham Khongdee Festival to be held at Muang Khaek Khmer temple in Sung Noen district from March 9 to 11. Highlights include a light-and-sound performance entitled "Sri Janasa Pura", and a khantoke dinner (a set dinner for five persons costs 1,500 baht). Here, participants will sit eating local food from khantokes (pedestal trays) while enjoying beautiful traditional dance and music.

Kin Khao Kham Khongdee Festival will take place from March 9-11 in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Suharit Charnwanagkoon, director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)'s Nakhon Ratchasima office, said the festival is organised in the second week of March annually by the people of this district to celebrate the local dance and performing arts tradition and pass on these skills to the next generation.
