Tasty trade in the Northeast

Shoppers, traders and food enthusiasts are welcome to the NCC Trade Fair and BBQ Festival@Korat 2011 to be held from today until Tuesday at Platinum Ground, Ban Koh, on Suranarai Road in Nakhon Ratchasima's Muang district.

The trade fair will feature products from well-known brands direct from factories at low prices in the Factory Outlet, Otop and SME (PIK Project) Zones while the 6th BBQ Festival will offer grilled seafood from the East and northeastern-style grilled food, according to TAT Nakhon Ratchasima Office director Suharit Charnvanangkoon.

Visitors will be mesmerised by Lanterns Cowboy Town with American Indian-style booths and the Little Cowboy Contest, as well as entertainment at night on a 40m stage.

The five-day event is expected to attract over 200,000 visitors and generate trade of more than 30 million baht. Its objective is to bring good-quality products at reasonable prices to customers and to create a forum for entrepreneurs in order to stimulate local and regional spending and economy.

After the event, visitors can visit the province's tourist attractions, such as the nine-temples, two-chapels pilgrimage route and the Khao Yai National Park.
