A good and leading example! Most Thais show appreciation for civic services like that by farangs in their village. That is most Thais! Many fellow farangs rather put down initiatives like that on social media  instead of at least supporting them with praise. Heaven knows why!  8)

A German resident from Buriram, Peter, 76.  His wife, who posted photos on her Facebook wrote: “He came to live in our home country. He’s willing to help us Thais. Today, Mr. Peter helped close the potholes in the middle of Luang road that had caused many accidents in the past. Neighbors have been worried that it would cause even more danger.”  bangkok.coconuts.co

There are some people that have different ways with dealing with potholes. some are quite potty, but Similar ‘protests’ were also reported to have occurred nationwide.

Man 'bathes' in pothole to push road repairs

A Krabi local ‘bathed’ in a pothole Tuesday morning as a sarcastic act of protest against the condition of the roads in the area.

The man, who calls himself ‘Rosemary’, is 53-year-old Payong. Several surprised locals watched as Mr Payong took pictures of himself bathing in a pothole in Krabi's Baan Lamthap village.

Mr Payong said he was doing this to draw attention to the terrible condition of the road and to push the relevant officials to take quick action.
