Thaiga, thanks for posting this.  I saw nothing to persuade me to go there. I do not like theme parks and I am allergic to shopping malls. My next trip there is on 23rd February but I will be going no further than the Emirates lounge where I can feast on the free smoked salmon and champagne for a few hours.

BTW I am currently staying here:- http://www.alraidah.com.sa/sites/en/Investments/pages/IshbilyaComplex-aspx.aspx
Yesterday, the Ishbilia management sent out the weekly newsletter with the following bizzare new rule:-

Ishbilia Compound will implement a new rule starting this week. Any unmarried Saudi woman 22 years of age or younger who is a personally invited visitor of  must have her parent(s) accompany her. Please make your visiting guests aware of this rule.

If the old only could, if the young only knew.

Forgot to mention, beer in Dubai is around THB 400 a pint.  You cannot beat Thailand.

As regards the pool, I have not personally seen any skinny dipping but one of my friends claims to have seen it.  At the moment it is too cold, around 8C.
