Mild earthquake in Chiang Rai

A small earthquake with a magnitude of 2.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in Wiang Pa Pao district of Chiang Rai province early today, the Meteorological Department reported on Wednesday.

The department’s seismic surveillance bureau reported the tremor at 1.18 am today. There were no reports of damage.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located 19.34 degrees latitude and 99.47 degrees longitude.

The northern province is home to the Mae Ta and Mae Chan active fault lines located about 800km north of  Bangkok. 
Anyone who goes to a psychiatrist should have his head examined.
